Re: Makes for 2014
Thanks for the congrats, we are very pleased. I started doing cross stitch when I was 13/14. Been doing it for years already and have done some beautiful pieces for my grandma. When she died they were some of the few things I asked to have. I like that I can pick it up and do it for 2 mins or 2 hour...

Re: Makes for 2014
Thanks ladies x I mostly do little cross stitch pics that take under an hour Adele, so I can put them in some of the endless card blanks I still have in my stash. I have two big projects which have been 'on the go' for about 7 years! I will link to anything I sell, but it's mostly card or paper so w...

Re: Makes for 2014
I will be making another baby
and packing up my craft room completely for the next 5 years or so
I'm going to keep out my cross stitch stuff and try and get back in to knitting. Everything else is going on ebay, gumtree, or in the loft.

Would anybody be interested in a 2nd hand silhouette?
Hi guys, I'm looking to sell my silhouette shortly (2nd baby on the way and haven't had time to use it since the first was born so think it might be obsolete before I get chance to use it again!) I can look up model numbers etc, the only problem is that there were 3 cutter blades with it and I can o...

Re: Mother's Day/ Mothering Sunday
I haven't made a card in ages but I need to as I only have one left for my birthday club cards and then I'm out! I have just been and bought a bunch of birthday cards and a Mother's Day card. Have given up on clintons and have been in the card factory - and seeing their prices I'm not surprised peop...

Re: folkestone
Its all lies. The place is very run down. I've no doubt they are working on it but at the minute there are so many empty shops around the area they are working on, you wouldn't wander down there if you weren't specifically going there IYSWIM Although to be fair, give it 5 years and what they are wor...

Re: Are you knitting or crocheting ATM
I've not tried crochet yet, was trying to get the hang of knitting first. I might have to look at both though, would learning both at the same time confuse me? The covers are done in moss stitch with 5 buttonholes. I'm quite proud of the knitting so I need to get them stitched together so I've got a...

Re: Are you knitting or crocheting ATM
I have knitted both sides of a cushion cover, but its the first thing I've done which needs to be stitched together, and even the hoovering seems more interesting than stitching it together. But I need to do it otherwise I'm doomed to knitting scarves until Eternity!

Re: Tape that's not sticky?
It's called sellotape and you stick it to a fluffy jumper a couple of times and then use it on what you wanted sticking.
Or maybe that's just cause I'm too tight to pay for something to do a specific job

Re: Are you knitting atm?
Ooo that looks like nice wool. I'm going to have a go with some chunky wool to get something done a bit faster - anyone got any good links? My mum fixed my cushion cover disaster and my MIL quickly showed me how to get started on stitching the jumper together (although haven't ACTUALLY tried doing i...

Re: Are you knitting atm?
I think I understand the theory, to be honest I should have practised on a scrap bit of wool but they are all in the attic whilst we decorate the nursery. I was watching a youtube demo done on stocking stitch and this was moss stitch so by the time I'd undone my third mistake I'd dropped a stitch so...
