Ooh, I never thought of making a bookmark like that - it wouldn't fall out so easily as the long thin ones, and so much prettier than turning down the corners (not to speak of being better for the book!).

try searching on youtube for origami bookmark - they are fun to do....but you need a bigger bit of paper.

Goregous bookmark :D Great link sue :D I saw one at my daughters work which I hadn't seen before, a pair of likkle mittens, blanket stitched around the edges, and then a small hairdressers grip (silver spring clip for pinning back hair) the spring clip was placed inside between the two mittens so it was able to open/close to secure on the page. Volunteers make them to raise funds for the museum.

OMG I just got a strip of offcut card and folded both ends so i got V in the middle
