TTC12-11 Vintage Florals

Post by DingleDel » Wed Oct 31, 2012 12:51 pm

Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind but I am quickly taking the time to load on the challenge for November a day early. :oops: It's Amelia's Birthday today but Chris couldn't get the time off of work. He does however, have tomorrow and Friday off so I am hoping we will be out spending some much needed quality time together as a family.

This month's challenge is simple - Vintage Florals. Use the title as you wish!

Here is my interpretation;

I used my much loved Sizzlits Decorative Strip- Tattered Florals and lots of ink!

More close up pics on my blog.

Hope you can play along, I'd love to see your ideas! xxx

That's lovely Adele. I'm pretty rubbish at inking. It tends to look a mess rather than gently distressed!!

Janet, I find using an old ink pad is the easiest. Too new, too wet the results can be just too dramatic! lol I use a VERY old Brilliance Dew Drop pad for most of my inking. It has run dry now but my new one is just still far too messy, so I dab the old one onto the new to pick up just enough ink to colour, then reapply lightly again and again until I have the effect I want. :-?

Thanks Adele. Perhaps I will give it another go. I have LOTS of old ink pads because I hardly ever use them nowadays.

As long as it incorporates your idea of vintage ( eg. perhaps inked or de-stressing techniques) and some flowers the rest is up to you.
