Anyone interested?

Post by DingleDel » Sat Dec 26, 2015 12:30 pm

I have been thinking of ways to motivate any remains of creativity I have left! :-? Considering things like the Birthday club and the fact that I will HAVE to craft. I will be obligated to, committed to crafting as I would hate to let the other person down.

Then I considered the challenges we used to do on here, I could take them or leave them so if I didn't HAVE to actually take part. The only person I would reallybe letting down would be myself.

I was wondering if a combination of the two would work but rather than a Birthday club, something like a creative swap group. Monthly might be too much of a commitment but perhaps bi-monthly or quarterly?

Would anyone be interested? We could match themes, details etc according to preferences. xx

It wouldn't necessarily need to be the type of item or craft, it could almost be like a RAK without the randomness!

I know I would still love to receive a swap of a craft I couldn't do/hadn't tried. We might need to set some sort of cost limit like you would a Secret Santa???

eg. Person no.1 would send person 2 a creation linked to a theme or occasion, person 2 would send to person 3....etc

Anyone interested in taking part in the swap could perhaps vote on themes etc......just because you take part in one swap wouldn't mean you would need to commit to the next but if you did, I think it would be nicer to make sure the sender and recipient change.

I would be happy to organise the first swap and we could see how it goes.

Anything sounds good, shame postage is so much for fat things

I liked it when we did a card swap on here a few years ago. My partner was Carolyn and she sent me some stuff to make a card and I sent her some things. We then used exactly the same bits to make each card then we revealed what we made.

I will check postage, I think anything larger than a large letter is 2.80.

Happy to do any thing, rubber stamp image swaps, die cuts, can go down fabric and yarn route too

I could send a thing to 'sew' if anyone fancies getting their sewing machine out.

I have accumulated quite a few pins for sewn items but my sewing skills are very basic. I can just about manage curtains and bunting. My sewing machine is buried somewhere in my craft room  but I might be interested if it wasn't too complicated. x
