Easing myself back into crafting

I am trying to accept that pain will always be part of my life and find ways to distract myself from it. What better way than crafting?

I haven't felt up to lifting boxes and de-cluttering/organising my craft room but my beads were all packed away in boxes downstairs so I have got some of them out, dithered, put them away again, gazed at Pinterest, got bead out, looked at more beads, added loads to online baskets, got beads out again......hopefully someone will understand the process!!!

Eventually I did complete an almost finished bracelet I had stored away and made a very simple lava bead bracelet for Chris. Not much but it's a little push in the right direction.

Ah yes...the sort, stroke and procrastinate crafting technique. We have all done it but usually it doesn't end in such beautiful creations that you have made.

I'm sorry to hear you are still in so much pain and there doesn't seem to be much anyone can do about it. Hope crafting will take your mind off it a bit. Now I need to see what you have been pinning recently as I haven't checked it out and I seem to be on the same wavelength as you.

Such a shame that you are in pain. distraction has got to be the way to go.

Love both of the pieces.

Make a few summer necklaces (or bracelets) and post them on your FB page - someone might buy, I sold a couple of items to friends, took me by surprise.

I am hoping that by accepting the pain will help me actually get on with life, I have put so much on hold for 7 years, waiting for answers or remedies that I still haven't really got.

I need to move on if that makes sense! Crafting is one way of doing that but I know from experience I need a reason to craft, if I don't have the motivation, or more of a NEED to make, I simply wont!

So sorry to hear you are caught in the net of pain and not knowing why or what best to do to alay it. The only thing I can say is keep pushing for answers, while you find ways to work around it.

I understand the taking things out, looking at something else, looking again it's all part of the creative process. The getting started can be frustrating at times.

Nice work thus far and all the best with new ideas on what to make with your stash of beads.

Thank you for the support and encouragement. I am trying to make the most of my little creative window of time before my mojo runs and hides again.

I have struggled today but managed to complete another bracelet. It was hard going on my hands and my back but I was determined to get it complete.

The colours aren't "me" but it was good to try something different from my normal comfort zone palette! LOL

I have made a few more simple bracelets but I am not feeling very inspired at the moment and struggling to stay motivated. Just got back from Physio/Pilates and I am feeling really blurgh and lightheaded.
