Earrings!!!

Any advice please? I know it's a personal choice but what sort of things do you like and what sort of thing do you think are popular? I am very much stuck in an earring time warp and rarely swap to anything different or dressier.

Once again, I am looking at keeping costs low at the moment but long term would love to work in sterling silver once I have a bit more experience and confidence.

Personally I usually only wear hoops. I have a pair in gold and silver and both are almost like rope. My fashion jewellery is something understated and colour wise is something that goes with my clothes. This year, fashion seem quite bright. (Not for me though. I did that the first time round in the mid 80's).

Have a look at the high street web sites and see what they are producing. Like Carolyn says, tassels seem big this year.

Those are lovely Adele. I don't wear earrings but I don't think you will have any trouble selling those.

Melis, my every day earrings are gold rope-like hoops.

I have made a similar pair of earrings to those above but with golden,brownish leafy dangles. Will need to try to source some small pendants/charms to give a bit more variety.

I also made a beady drop pair with a matching lariat type necklace too. (not sure why they are upside down....how do I change this Carolyn?)

I am quite enjoying making earrings. My latest bracelet took 5 days to finish but the matching earrings were finished in no time at all! LOL

Ear-rings are quick to make. I seldom make them however as I don't wear ear-rings.

Your ear-rings and bracelets are lovely, Adele. You won't have a problem selling those I am sure...if that is what you intend to do.

I've just got into jewellery making, and loving it! I don't use beads much, I tend to resin pieces and then use as necklaces, earrings, rings. Or resin over wooden embellishments. I love your earrings and the blue is stunning!
