Using string and cords

A simple piece of garden string can be all that you need to embellish a card.  I like to use string, jute, crochet cotton, metallic threads and metallic cords.

Charms and other items can be hung on it, or threaded through buttons.  So rifle through your drawers and find those balls of string.

In the Garden
Perfect for a card for a man.

More Gardening
The card is a 'tent' fold making it easier to wrap the string around.

Fishing
This is a fantastic metallic cord in a dark copper colour - threaded through a metal button.  The ticket is free for your own wording.

VW camper
This is the same type of cord, but in a bright blue, threaded through eyelets.

Mouse
The blue metallic thread is used again - another tent fold so that I can wrap it around..

Relax!
Jute string has been wrapped around, on this scalloped card it sits neatly in the gaps.

Scrabble
This tag is perfect with the string - card made by Clare.

Love
For the rustic look - again perfect for a card for a man - this string just finishes it.  Made by Clare.

I touch scrapbook page
Sue has made this fantastic scrapbook page, string has been used on the buttons and also as an accent on the top of the page.
