Cuttlebug - Inking Embossing Folders

Here is a quick a technique I learnt from a video on YouTube, there are a selection of cards....on this page

Inking your Embossing folders

So the technique is to ink the embossing folder. We did chat about it on the forum and some of the members had a go... thread on forum  So first you need to choose a washable ink, as you don’t want to spoil your folder, I would stay clear of Stazon - so choose your folder - here I have chosen the Happy Birthday one.  You might want to have a go with different ones if the first wasn't a success.

I have chosen the Raspberry ink pad from the Adirondack Brights range. You can ink it either by rubbing an ink pad over the folder or by using a brayer. As you can see I used a brayer here.

Open your folder and ink the side with writing on, it is the smoother side, then straightaway pop your card in and put it through your CB. The effect is slightly mottly, although different inks will give a different effect.

I wipe my folders off with a baby wipe, but you can rinse it under the tap.

Ink it up

Put through your machine

This is it straight from the CB
