If you are not quite sure how if you follow the instructions you can always have a go on some scrap paper first, once you have the hang of it - you won't stop!

If you want to print the instructions Ellen has put some together here: Word Doc

You will need a piece of 12 X 12 card, some matching patterned paper, and a steel ruler and craft knife, or a trimmer.  If you only have A4 card it is just under 30cm - so you will have to adjust the measurements slightly.  The finished card will fit into a C6 envelope.

Cut your piece of card to 30cm by 15cm

You now need to score your card at 10cm in from each side.

Then score in 5cm from each end - but only 2.5cm down from each edge as you can see marked on the diagram.

Now line up from the end of each of the 2.5 cm score lines with a steel ruler (or using your trimmer) and cut a line between the two with a craft knife.  Do this at both ends.

Now you need to fold along all the score lines - look closely at the picture and you can see which way to fold them, the outside needs to be opposite to the middle if that makes sense

You can start to decorate your card, cut 3 squares 9.5cm in patterned paper to place on the large central squares.

Then cut 2 strips 29.5cm X 2cm to run along the top and bottom.

Ellen has put hers through the cuttlebug and sanded it to expose the blue core of the card (the card she used it called Colorcore).  Not all card has different coloured core - you may want to check on a piece of scrap first.

You can use patterned paper that complements the paper already used - whatever you fancy.

Score the long strips if you have used card, you probably wouldn't need to do it with paper, just run a bone folder or scissor handle on the creases to make sure they are nice and crisp.

Now you can decorate the rest of the card to your liking
